Dr. Agnes Ng Kwok Tung (PhD, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University; Master of Social Work, Monash University of Australia; Bachelor of Philosophy in Educational Studies, England; Diploma in Social Work) is the Chief Executive of The Nurturing Education, adjunct lecturer of Monash University of Australia to supervise students of the Master of Counseling Program, and Project Director of the Supportive Supervision Scheme appointed by the Hong Kong Social Workers Association.

 

Prior to her current work, Dr. Ng was the Assistant Chief Executive of the Christian Family Service Centre. She was accountable for the operation and development of the core service programs including the integrated family service; the integrated elderly care service; and the integrated rehabilitation service.

 

Dr. Ng has over 30 years working experience in the social work field. She is the pioneer in the early development of the single-parent family services in Hong Kong since 1984. Her major interests are family life education, marriage counseling, single-parent family services, clinical supervision work and counseling service. She provides trainings, teaching and consultancy services to social work professionals, organization and training institutes in and outside Hong Kong. Her research and practice interest in the past few years are Social Work Supervision Practice and Gifted education for children.

Associate Professor Kieran O’Donoghue is the Head of the School of Social Work at Massey University. He is an international leader in the field of social work supervision. In New Zealand his contribution to social work supervision research was recognised in 2015, by the Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers (ANZASW) when he was awarded the inaugural ANZASW Quality and Innovation Trophy for Excellence in Research.

A/P Kieran has published extensively on social work supervision his publications include two books, four book chapters and twenty journal articles. According to Google Scholar on 21 April 2017, since 2012, his work has been cited 328 times.

A/P Kieran has been a practising supervisor for twenty-three years and is a registered social worker. His current research is the writing up of a national survey of registered social workers supervision and an evaluation of allied health professionals clinical supervision in two district health services.  He is also regularly called upon to provided advice to organisations and professional bodies in regard to the development of supervision policy and practice.

Ms Nicki Weld is currently the national social work advisor for Stand Children Services, a child and family NGO in New Zealand, and undertaking doctoral study through Auckland University, New Zealand. She is also a Director of CNZN Ltd, New Zealand, which provides training, facilitation, supervision, consultancy and solutions for child protection and social service management and workers. She has worked for a number of years in a variety of social service and child protection roles, including professional leader for social work in general health, senior social worker, supervisor, senior CP trainer, and as a national social work advisor within the New Zealand government sector.

 

Ms Weld is the author of E Ko te Matakahi Maire- Therapeutic Social Work (2017 Stand Children Services NZ), The Whole Sphere – Supporting well-being, and recovery from relational trauma (2014 Dunmore Publishing NZ), The Three Houses tool- A handbook for application (Japan 2014), A Practical Guide to Transformative Supervision for the Helping Professions- Amplifying Insight (Jessica Kingsley Publishing, London 2011); Making Sure Children get 'HELD': Ideas and Resources to Help Workers to Place Hope, Empathy, Love and Dignity at the Heart of Child Protection and Support (Russell House Publishing, London 2009) and co-author of Walking in People's Worlds: A Practical and Philosophical Guide to Social Work (Pearson Education, New Zealand 2008). She is the primary creator of the Three Houses tool used internationally.
